Michele J Gottlieb, MD
Michele J Gottlieb, MD received her allergy immunology fellowship training at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and is a Board Certified Allergist Immunologist and Internist.
She has extensive experience, including working for Harvard Pilgrim Health Plan as an instructor of medicine at Harvard Medical school, as well as working as an allergist in a private practice. She has also directed the allergy and immunology clinic at UMASS Medical school in Worcester from 1995-2000 where she established chemotherapy allergy testing protocols and desensitization to cisplatin and carboplatin. For over 16 years she was the Director of the Allergy and Immunology Clinic at the Southboro Medical Group, a division of the Reliant Medical Group since 2006 where she expanded the allergy practice. She has treated food allergies, asthma, eosinophilic allergic disorders, allergic rhinitis, primary immunodeficiency, eczema, urticaria, antibiotic allergy, other drug allergies, vaccine reactions and bee sting anaphylaxis. She has extensive experience with immunotherapy for pollens, pets and dust mites.
Dr. Gottlieb also has Pharmaceutical Industry experience with GSK respiratory division and Sepracor (now Sunovion) in medical education.
Dr. Gottlieb currently is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts school.
Dr. Gottlieb has been a long time member of the New England Society of Allergy where she was formerly education director, treasurer and President. She is a fellow of the AAAAI and the ACAAI, a member of the Massachusetts Allergy Society and the Massachusetts Medical Society.
She believes in making the world better, one patient at a time. She enjoys being outdoors, gardening, cooking, hiking and spending time with her dog and family.
