Francisco Bonilla, MD
Dr. Francisco Bonilla brings over 30 years of experience to NEAAI. Most recently, he served as a leader in the Boston Children’s Hospital allergy and immunology research programs. He also served as an associate professor at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA.
After receiving his BA from Harvard University in chemistry, he earned his Ph.D. from City University of New York in biomedical science. He earned his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, in New York. Dr. Bonilla then conducted his intern and residency at the Floating Hospital for Infants and Children in Boston, MA. He was a Fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital in Allergy and Immunology.
Dr. Bonilla has also written many book chapters, papers, and journal articles on subjects related to allergy, asthma and immunology. In addition, he has received numerous awards and appointments throughout his career, including most recently a FDA Advisory Committee Service Award from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Dr. Bonilla is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, having served in a variety of leadership positions in the organization. He is also a member of the Clinical Immunology Society.
Dr. Bonilla sees patients of all ages with all forms of allergic and immune disorders. He is accepting new adult and pediatric patients.
He lives north of Boston and enjoys traveling with his family.
