Job Summary:

The Clinical Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations of NEAAI/AAP, ensuring high-quality patient care, compliance with healthcare regulations, and effective staff performance. This role combines administrative duties with clinical oversight and requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Review schedules to assure proper booking and to prepare for the appointments.
Post job ad and review applications from candidates. Interview and hire prospective employees. Obtain onboarding forms and train newly hired employees.

Perform 90 day and annual reviews and competencies.
Reconcile employee timecards and manage time off requests.
Update staff on issues, policy changes and upcoming events. Troubleshoot problems.
Address and diffuse upset and disruptive patients and/or their family members.
Prepare records for transfer, pick up and insurance chart review requests.
Assist with provider credentialing process.

Review provider and nursing notes for accuracy and continuity of care.
Identify areas in need of improvement and implement new systems to help with efficiency.
Maintain medical and administrative supply inventory.
Maintain OSHA standards and requirements.

Prepare extracts and medications for testing and administration.
Assist or fill in with nursing tasks which include obtaining past medical history, assessment and vital signs. Perform various forms of diagnostic testing including skin prick, intradermal and patch testing, as well as spirometry. Administer subcutaneous and sublingual immunotherapy, as well as biologics. Prepare and administer medication and food challenges and oral immunotherapy. Identify and assist with treating anaphylaxis.
Provide patient education and conduct telephonic triage. Submit provider orders, forms, letters, prior authorizations and appeals. Coordinate care with other healthcare providers.
Also assist or fill in with administrative tasks which include new patient registration, checking patients in and out, making and receiving phone calls. Obtaining copays and balances. Updating demographic information and verifying insurance eligibility. Obtaining and entering referrals. Scanning, printing, faxing and mailing documents. Scheduling, rescheduling and cancelling appointments.
